Yes, this past Tuesday 08/27 did drain the pocket book a little but I cannot beleive the dvd's coming out in September. Take a look at the movies I will be purchasing. And these are the ones that I will definately be buying, let alone the titles that I might have missed or the one dvd that I have been meaning to get but is on sale now when I pick up these other ones. 9-3
  1. 1 Blade 2
  2. 2. Friends season 2.
9-10
    1. 1. Count of Monte Cristo
9-17
      1. 1. Frailty
      2. 2. Monsters Inc
      3. 3.Panic Room Superbit Deluxe
      4. 4. 24 Season one
      5. 5. Death to Smoochy
      6. 6. Snatch "Superbit"
9-24
        1. 1. One Flew Over a Cuckoo's Nest SE
        2. 2. True Romance Directors Cut
        3. 3. Swingers SE
This is the first time I have used the list function, so I hope I didn't screw it up. So as you can see, I need to put in some overtime at my job. And this is just September. I think in November there might be a couple coming out that might be on my to buy list. Something about a guy crawling up a wall and another movie that has a little green guy in it with some sort of serious Jedi skills. :b Can't wait! We will be spoiled this fall.

I will also be picking up Star Trek Season 4, Amadeus SE, Unforgiven SE, Changing Lanes, Near Dark, and Ernest Goes to Camp...

I would have also picked up the Road to Welville and Mr. Destiny had they been OAR.

Yeah, I was also thinking about Unforgiven SE. I cant remember, is the current one widescreen or anamorphic? It's been awhile since I have watched my copy. I also was thinking about picking up Changing Lanes but I think that will be a rental.

My list reads: Blade II, Friends Season 2, Monsters, Inc., Panic Room, Swingers SE, Unforgiven SE. Not too terrible. I am on the fence about Amadeus, Near Dark & One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

In addition to A Hard Day's Night and Trading Places, which have already been noted, you left off The History of Beavis and Butt-head.

Do you guys have the time to watch everything you buy?
September:
24:Season One (Gift for dad)
Monster's Inc. (Gift for friend)
Till End of Year:
Spiderman:SE
Attack of Clones:WS
FoTR: Expanded (must figure out a way to avoid wrath of girlfriend on this double dip)
Back to the Future (pre-order)
ET (pre-order)
Lately I've severely limited my DVD buying to only things that will get multiple watches and enjoyment, and truthfully, I don't miss the DVDs that I paid for and didn't watch.
Alas... these next few months are going to be a great trial :)
Dave, the Studios should hire you to take out Sunday ads in big metropolitan newspapers. By reading your "Weekly Roundup" I've been compelled to buy many many discs, and now I feel compelled to buy Major League.

My September isn't so bad:
Must-haves
Alec Guinness Box Set
Near Dark
Unforgiven SE
One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest SE
Earth vs the Flying Saucers
Haven't decided yet
True Romance SE
& since I rarely buy sight unseen anymore, these 2 are rent first then decide:
Frailty
Panic Room

Jim, I don't think you would be dissapointed with Frailty,IMO it is one of the best movies of the year and Bill Paxtons performance of his career. And like you, I have not yet seen Panic Room but have heard alot of good things about it,so I will take the chance and buy it.

I'm in for Monsters Inc., Panic Room, Snatch, Cuckoo's Nest, Swingers, and, alas, Mickey's House of Villains. Sue me, I'm a Disney whore.

I'll be getting...
A Hard Day's Night: Special Edition (definately!)
Amadeus: Director's Cut/Special Edition (definately!)
Singin' In The Rain: Special Edition (definately!)
The Outer Limits: Original Series (maybe)
The Civil War (maybe)
Spellbound (probably)
Unforgiven: Special Edition (perhaps)
I'll have to watch my spending...although, I have a conveniently placed birthday on the 20th, so I might be able to ask for the AHDN, SITR, and Amadeus SE's. :D
After all, in October, I'm picking up... Strange Brew, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Thin Man, Beauty and the Beast (maybe), Casino Royale, E.T. gift set, The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp (probably). In November: Sunset Blvd., To Catch a Thief, Spiderman LBX, 4-disc MST3K set, FOTR 4-disc. In December: Goldmember, BTTF Trilogy, the three Walt Disney Treasures sets...
