Steve I've only just noticed you're actually rating the films you've seen. I'm...I'm shocked.[IMG]

Saw Phantasm at the cinema way back when the world was still young.

Beastmaster is one of them guilty pleasure movies you've all been hearing about, it's cult status boosted by a barely clothed (and sometimes unclothed) Tanya Roberts... mmmm Tanya. [IMG]

    Rankings

    1)Beastmaster
    2)Phantasm
    3)Bubba Ho-Tep

Average Rating 2.4 out of 5 silver balls

I assume from this advice that it's different than these Phantasm films, which I haven't seen, but certainly sound like gorefests from what I've read.

IIRC, Phantasm isn't a gorefest, most of the violence is implied rather than shown.

Bubba Ho-Tep is a comedy positing that Elvis (Bruce Campbell) is alive and living in an old folks home. Here he meets a man who thinks he's JFK (Ossie Davis) and the two combine to battle an ancient Egyptian mummy. I loved the sight gag that Ossie Davis has a picture of David Ferrie on his wall.
