The balls are back and in hi-def as all five films in Don Coscarelli’s classic fright franchise are flying into a six-Blu-ray set. Read on for the complete contents info and the box art!



Well Go USA Entertainment wil release THE PHANTASM COLLECTION March 28. The set includes the five movies (including last year’s PHANTASM: REMASTERED and PHANTASM: RAVAGER) each on their own disc, plus a sixth Blu-ray with additional new and vintage bonus features. The extras breakdown is as follows:

I like the first well enough but the problem with a boxset, for me, is that I'm not a big fan of the sequels.

Part II is a very good sequel and comes close to the original but I agree the others are not very good. If they release Part 3 separate and I see it for a real good price I will probably pick it up but I have no need for part 4 and 5.

I'm enough of a fan to have bought the laserdisc with the soundtrack cd and the old UK dvd box set that came in a silver (plastic) sphere that I preordered, hoping for a good price dip at Amazon between now and release date. They're not art, but I sure do enjoy them.
