Hi Everyone,
It's time to get a digital recorder. I only have a couple of requirements:
1. It must have a DVD player/burner
2. It must be free service! I won't pay for TiVo!
3. It must work with a Cablevision cable box
4. If it can do HD I'd be really happy
I have seen that Pioneer and Toshiba have a TiVo "lite" which only allows 3 days advance programming which is included with their DVR/DVD combos which run around 350 for one with a 160GB drive.
Do most cable boxes have a control connector so they can be controlled by the DVRs?
Someone said something about waiting until April for the "new" versions...since it's almost April, is it worth waiting?
Cheers!
