DTC-100 OTA signal strength problem (1 Viewer)

I just picked up a DTC-100 without a dish to see if it would work with my monitor. The menus look just fine, but I can't get the antenna input to work. This is the same antenna line that I normally use to watch TV, but on the DTC-100 it says the signal is weak. Has anyone dealt with this problem successfully?

I have tried all of those things. Still no sign that the machine actually works. I can't believe the analog tuner in the DTC-100 is so much weaker than that in an ordinary VCR.
