What's up guys? My family is pitching in to start a home theater system for my Dad's 50th B-day. I was trying to decide between the Polk Monitor 50's and the Infinity 360's. I decided & bought the Polk Monitor 50's. I then saw a sell on the Polk CSM center channel for $79 @ CC and bought it. I read that the tweeters should be the same size for front and center. The CSM has a 3/4 and the 50's have a 1 in tweeter. Would this be OK? Should I take the CSM back, save for Xmas, & spend $179 on the CS1 that has a 1 in tweeter? We have already spent $700 on a receiver, front and center speakers.

Thanks for you help!

ps We only wanted to initially spend about $600-700.

Yes, you'd probably get better results with a Polk CS1 or CS2, as these are timbre-matched to the Monitor 50. With a well matched speaker system, the particular sound of a voice or instrument should not depend on which speaker is playing it at the time.
