No, the Faroudja de-interlacer will only be applied to an interlaced source. It will be bypassed in the display if a 480p (progressive) input is detected. You can't de-interlace twice!

Don is right but you may certainly benifit from other sources by getting a DCDi projector.

Yes having Faroujda in both merely allows you to get good de-interlacing from other interlaced sources other than DVD.
