Apparently, there is a new CHIPS movie in the works. Maybe this is what is needed to boost popularity of the old series and finally get it on DVD.
Does anyone know who owns the rights, and whether there are rumors of a DVD release??

I believe MGM owns it...which means it's under Sony's control...which means the chances of a DVD release are pretty good.

It's an MGM show, which means it's owned by Warner by way of Turner. The MGM that was bought by Sony is formerly UA.
