I have no idea how the music is supposed to relate to the movement of my body. I know the beat is supposed to serve as some kind of general information source but I just don't see how it translates into anything. Even when I see other people dancing I don't get how the music is translating into the movement of their arms and legs and stuff.

Just don't get it.

And yet I love music.

Taking a ballroom class helped a lot with this.
