Does anyone out there have alot of experience with newer Yamaha Quad DSP programs in receivers [Z-1,RXV-3300]?l know, and now Dolby does too, that a 7.1 system is often under used with 5.1 program material. I am really wanting to buy a new yamaha 1400 to use as a pre-pro ,but no pro-logicIIx.Question..does the quad field cinema DSP produce sound from rear surround speakers when layed over 5.1[not EX or ES]DVDs? If so does it layer over Dolby Digital and Pro-LogicII? Wouldn't this somewhat work as Pro-logicIIx. I demoed an Outlaw 950 pre pro which has Cirris extra surround. This put a nice rear surround effect but I had other issues with the unit.Do these new Yamaha receivers even need Pro-LogicIIx??

It's a little unclear at the moment re support for DPLIIx

European Model Specs (not release) indicate DPLIIx is supported on both
the 1400/2400

- see this at wwwDOTyamaha-onlineDOTde

The current US versions don't have it, nor the 7 channel conversion from 5 channels

One question re the new models - are the 2 channel Cinema
DSP modes still based on PrologicI or have they been upgraded
to use PrologicII

Thanks
