DIY speaker stands? (1 Viewer)

What do you guys think about these speaker stands? I have been thinking of making them. Right now I'm using some old blown speakers as stands..lol any opinions welcome.

Well i built them this weekend other than the sand and i swear my system sounded better...even my wife said it sounded more clear...i dont it may be all in my head..lol to my surprise they look good and my wife likes them.

very nice artical.

i think if i were to build those i would go over the top and router out a counter sink for the PVC to sit in, you'll get a tighter bond with the rope caulk, and it won't move around on you as much.

all in all i will have to remember that plan when i get some cash, free time, and the use of a good shop again,
