Here's my problem. I have the 600 series b&w's all around and very much so enjoy the sound but I think that the center channel is blown. What I am looking for is possibly building a center that will match the existing speakers (maybe even using the same crossover) but being a bit bigger with the ability to handle more power (have a bigger presence). Does that make sense? Does it sound possible? Any hints or tips? Thanks for your help.

Anybody? How about raw drivers? The crackling when things blow up is driving me crazy!!! ;) Thanks again.

I believe B&W makes their own drivers.

This would make it difficult to match exactly. However, the good news is that B&W are pretty neutral and if anything have 'tight' bass. So provided you try to match up a DIY speaker with the same type of criteria you might be in good shape.

My choice for DIY speakers would be Adire Kit 81s, but YMMV.
