I need to be able to disable a NIC using a batch file. Does anyone know if it's possible to disable a NIC via a command line?

Thanks

Why would you want to?

If you can post what the ultimate end goal is, I might be able to provide a solution. :)

I'm baffled also as to why you'd want to do this, but in Win2k/XP you can type

ipconfig /release

if it's DHCP and it won't have an ip assigned to it.
