We decided we hated them all, and kicked them out.
Seriously, after a while priorities change. The forum takes a lot of work to moderate, and it is a strictly volunteer position. Ever year or two, some mods decide they no longer have the time to dedicate to the forum-- so they step aside to allow other staff to come onboard and toe the line for a while.
The list of former moderators from the many years of this forum is long and varied...
This time, we just happened to have a group of mods all depart at the same time. Certainly no serious problems or hard feelings, just some people stepped aside to allow new people who could dedicate more time.
The former mods will still be a big part of this forum- I would imagine there are a few of them that you couldn't pay to shut up

Basically - what Vince said. It just got to a point where changes in my work and personal life meant that HTF wasn't getting the time from me it once did.

That's what I figured had probably happened. Now that the explanation is done, how about that quick list of the departing and joining adminimoderators?
