Denon 2802 or Marantz 6300 (1 Viewer)

I have narrow my choices down to these 2 mainly because they are very similar in price at the moment. I'll be using the dahlquist speakers.
Usage will be 50/50 split on Music vs Movies.

For any serious music listening, I would have to say go with Marantz. I compared the 3802 with the SR6200, and chose the 6200 because of it's more musical sound.

I have the Denon 2801 (year 2k model) and I love it. I also use ir for 50/50 movies/music. 5-channel stereo mode for music is great. At the time the 2801's amp was warmer the 3801 so music actually sounded better on the 2801. It may be the same case with the 2802 and 3802 which is why John didn't like the sound of the 3802. I recommend the Denon. No problems, nothing but joy since 2000.

Thanks both for your recommendations.
Spend some times listening to both this morning, and finally decided to get the Denon 2802.
This is one nice unit. Now, I need to save up for a good remote.

Actually, even tho the Denon is ugly as hell, it is very functional. I was able to program all my compents remotes in it. (CD,DVD,VCR,TV)

When I said the Denon is ugly as hell, was talking about the remote. The unit itself is slick looking.
