The difference wasn't always huge, but it was really significant on The Sopranos. The regular price at DVDP is $69.96, but the regular price at DDD is $54.89. I ended up getting it for $43.91 at DDD, $12 less than it would have cost with DVDP's 20% discount.

Well, I really want to get the George Carlin - "All My Stuff" 14 disc set, but I think I'm gonna hold off til Black Friday and see what goes on. If there's a good deal on HD-DVD players (1080p, not that Walmart shit I heard about last week), I might do that instead. If there were a definite release date for Dirty Harry on HD-DVD I'd be looking for a player for sure. Til then, I'm not sure what else I really want besides Bulletproof and a few other random titles.

Because I snoozed a day late on the DD 20% sale, my HD DVD copy of Planet Earth--what better way to make use of my recently-purchased A2 player--is already on backorder until 11/21 (other folks who jumped the gun on the sale stated that their copies of PE had already shipped)...meaning I won't be able to show it to the extended family for Thanksgiving. :frowning:

Oh well--there's always Christmas...but I digress--I did buy a bunch of other SD DVDs w/ the 20% deal, but 20% off Planet Earth on HD DVD was the crown jewel of my order.
