My reciever for some reason is not decoding DD or DTS. I have an optical digital cord connecting the DVD to the reciever, which has DD and DTS decoders. The only sound I'm getting is DPL. So, does anyone know what might be wrong?

What kind of receiver do you have? Is it (DVD) set to PCM? If so, change it to "turn on" DD or DTS.

hi adam,

make sure to put the dvd-player to *bitstream* not *pcm*. you can do this in the dvd-player's setup menu. if the player is configured to the *pcm* output, you only will get a down mixed stereo signal, which will be decoded by your amp as dolby surround.

regards, holger
