Anyone have this player? I'm thinking of picking a code-free version of this up to play some UK Region 2 PAL discs on my NTSC 16x9 TV and was wondering if anyone had any experiences (good/bad) with this player?

The 3000 and 5000 are basically exactly the same. The new(er) 5700 is as good if not better. So, the 3000, 5000, 5700... they're all excellent -- especially for the $100 or less you can get them for. The 3000 is a bit old compared to the other two, but there's still not much difference.

I think the main difference between the 3000/5000 and the 5700 is the first two have a built-in DTS decoder while the 5700 has component outputs instead.
