Hi Guys,

Currently I am using the scheme I have uploaded as picture in my home and it is working perfectly fine. I am using the HDMI switch because I want to be able to switch the audio source of the Set Top box between coming from TV and coming from Surround sound (depending if I am on the couch or on the dining table).

Problem comes when I try to watch Netflix on my TV - The sound comes only from the TV and I want it from the Surround -how can I do that? My first guess was to use optical cable from the TV to the receiver but then how the receive will know when to use HDMI sound and when to use optical?

Thanks in advane guys :)

EDIT: Additional question - Is there a way remove the switch of the equation, but still to be able to switch audio source for the set top box?

It looks like your receiver has HDMI capability, so just connected the set-top box straight to the receiver.

By the way, welcome to the Forum!
