Cheapest Satellite Receiver W/Digital Out (1 Viewer)

Hello,
I have an old Huges receiver and wish to upgrade to one with
digital out for my home theater. The cheapest one I found was the Sony-AT55 for $199.00. I've been a long time subscriber to Direct Tv, So I dont want to change service.
Is That the best I can do?

Rob - The Sony DirecTV receivers are the most expensive ones. You should be able to find an RCA or Hughes box cheaper. I'm not up on the latest prices but I do see that www.abtelectronics.com has the RCA DRD480RE for $137 and the Hughes HIRDE45 for $148.

I believe walmart.com has the RCA Digital model on their website for around $150. I can't recommend the Sony because I have it and have had pixelation problems with it. The channel guide and menu options are great but the unit is plagued with problems.
