I hate when this happens!

I heard this song on the radio, I know it’s from the early 80”s and it keeps playing in my head and I can’t figure out who it is and it’s driving me nuts!

Male singer kind of sounds a little bit like Supertramp’s vocalist

The lyrics start off something like “ I heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard you been messing around”

Then something ing about “ you better take on the run baby “

Anyone have a clue who this is?

Thanks

There's a phrase I never thought I'd hear post 1986 ;)
Just kidding, REO Speedwagon had some good tunes(Take it on the Run, Riding the Storm Out, Time for me to Fly, and especially Roll With the Changes) along with the super sappy but personal guilty pleasure ballad "Can't fight This feeling anymore".

Ah yes, REO Speedwagon, a chick band if I ever heard one. All you had to do was put on a little REO(or Journey or Air Supply)and let the good times roll! :)

Ah yes, REO Speedwagon's "Hi Infidelity". A prime example of something that's rare these days - an album where every song is GREAT. Buy it, you'll love it.:)

Foreigner's "4"....right up there with "Hi Infidelity", IMHO.

Play "Waiting For A Girl Like You" and "Can't Fight This Feeling" back to back for instant "good time". :D :emoji_thumbsup:

Good lord. This reminds me that a woman I met at law school fessed up that she had a brief torrid affair with the band's plump keyboard player. Not what I'd brag about myself.

Cute songs, but I can't imagine ever putting one on and actually listening to it, much less buying a CD.
