Ian,

Best three:

Star Trek DS9 Seasons 1-7
Just about any of your MST3K collections (which I need to get started on myself)
X-men Collection

Worst three:
Jay & Slient Bob Strike Back (I was a Kevin Smith fan myself, but his latest material just left me cold)
Sudden Impact (I felt the Dirty Harry series started stumbling starting with 'Enforcer', but this one never worked for me)
2001: A Space Odyssey (PURELY for technical aspects. The newer DVD with the 'Remastered' banner is far, far better)

Suggested three:
Spiderman/Spiderman 2
Blade (only the first one, the 2nd lost me after the opening, and didn;t see 'Trinity)
Ninja Scroll

John,

Yeah I have been looking to get the remastered 2001 for awhile just too much other stuff to buy. Of your suggested 3 I have the Spider-Man flicks as well as the Blade flicks they are just not listed in my collection. It may sound strange but I know I am not alone in this, my wife and I keep our collections seperate. I have my collection and she has her collection then we have the "Our" collection for the few flicks that we both like. The Spider-Mans and Blades fall into the "Our" collection.

I do need to get Ninja scroll though! Great anime.

Well, guess my recommendations were pretty much accurate then :)

Mixed collections can be intersting. In my house there's three distinct DVD collections (complete with three sets of the LOTR Extended Trilogy).

Well, guess it's your turn to do my collection.

Kirby:

From what I can tell, that's a great collection. Makes it sort of hard to pick both good ones and bad ones...

Best: The Big Sleep, Black Narcissus, Lawrence of Arabia

Worst: Eh. Maybe some of the weaker James Bond titles, such as Moonraker. Unlike some, I'm not a big fan of Star Wars, either. That should make up for three...

Need: The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp (Criterion), The Killers (Criterion), The Postman Always Rings Twice

My collection
