Best pre/pro reciever around $1K... (1 Viewer)

I like Rotel's 1055 so far. Seems like their 1066 to me. I'm thinking of getting a reciever for $1K and then adding an amp down the road,(probably a used one.) So I'm looking for a receiver that will work well as a pre/pro. Any suggestions on other recievers that would work well in this capacity would be sincerely appreciated.

Looks like you've come to the same conclusion I had after owning both the 1066 and 1055's. I wrote a review on them if you do a search or read about it here
