Just wondering if some of you could give me some suggestions on some good 27 and 32 inch tv's. I will be using this with a home theatre 5.1 set up. I will also be hooking a x-box up to it so I assume I need component video. I also asume I dont need a tv with great sound since I will be using with a receiver and 5.1 set up. So I need a awesome picture 27 or 32.

You can get a Samsung HD ready set for 899...It is capable of 480p and 1080i....There is a 32 inch and 36 inch model also....the 32 is 1199 and 36 is 1399...All the samsung hd ready sets are getting pretty decent reviews...

For what you are looking for, as usual, I will recommend checking out the JVC AV320 line at Best Buy and similar. The 32" goes on sale for around $550, and the 36" is still only $750 the few times they put it on sale. I think they may have been clearanced out now (or maybe still are on clearance and you can get one cheap), but so maybe the new line replaced those now. Both sizes have component. I think most 32s have component nowadays. Not so with 36s.

The 36" for that price might be something to consider. Or not. No way would I get a 27", though. Way too tiny except for a bedroom TV.

what is your budget? I was just at Costco and they had a Samsung HD big screen for aprox 1800 and a Pioneer HD big screen for aprox 2800.

You might want to look into the Wega FS-series, you can find their 32" model, the KV-32FS13, for $900 at Best Buy or ~$800 if you've got a Sears nearby that will pricematch internet sites.

Go to BJ's wholesale club and pick up the Samsung tsl3295HF HDTV(32") for $999. Will play 480p and 1080i games for your xbxox, will give you HDTV with an HDTV receiver. I LUV mine. Same price as the lowest of the low Sony Wega's(32fs13) and flat out blows it away!

Samsung does not make a 36" Flat Direct View HDTV!
