Audiophile sound... balanced usually better than RCA??? (1 Viewer)

I want to run a front two channel interconnect almost 50 feet. Should I buy a balanced output pre/pro versus an unbalanced pre/pro in order to obtain the highest fidelity? Or do the newest pre/pros sound just as good using a typical RCA output????

Balanced won't improve the sound, but will (or should) help if you have noise or hum problems in your system.
If there is no financial penalty, I'd use balanced for a 50 foot run.

I’m with Stephen 100%. Keep in mind, however, that whatever is at the end of the line (the amp, I presume?) will also have to have balanced inputs.
