If so, where do I start? I have been hearing a little of them on XM radio and am curious.

Happy holidays to everyone.

Thanks-Jeff

If you heard them on XM, you probably heard stuff from the first album, "De-Loused in the Comatorium". I think both that and "Frances The Mute" are great albums. I haven't heard "Amputechture" yet.

Great band. Frances the Mute is a great album its just that there are parts where you really REALLY want to hit the next song button after 3 or 4 minutes of wierd noises non stop. I made a cd that has the actual song Frances the Mute from a free Best Buy sampler I found a few weeks ago. You are going to need itunes to do this though, but I have each song (and Miranda that ghost isn't holy anymore and cassandra Gemmini are combined) All you really have to do is, take out the last 4 minutes of Cygnet, the last 2 min of The Widow, and the first 4 or 5 minutes of Miranda, and each song fits on one CD at about 76 minutes total.

I entirely disagree. Even though Mars Volta and Sparta originated from the same band, At the Drive In, they are absolutely nothing alike. Mars Volta is much more... I guess experimental is the word I'm thinking.

I prefer At the Drive-In, but Mars Volta are top-notch since they are the two most vital parts of ATDI.

For ATDI: In/Casino/Out & Relationship of Command

For Mars Volta: Frances the Mute.
