Anyone get sucked into HI-FI by HT (1 Viewer)

I started off using the DVD player in my laptop with its video and sound outs. After getting tired of jittery movements, I bought a cheap DVD player, cheap receiver and a sub/sat pack. This seemed fine until I listened to my friend's M&K setup and noticed how much better the music in the soundtracks were. Now I'm in the middle of my 3rd transition with an M&K sub, DIY speakers and am looking at prepros and poweramps. Music use of the system has gone from 10% to 50% and will rise when I get a DVD-A or SACD player.
Glad to know I'm not alone.

I orignally bought my system with the intention of using it as 80%HT and 20%music now its more like 60%music and 40%HT crazy huh
