Has any one heard of the DIY Video projector at http://www.100inchtv.com/ it's a home built projector using a tv put into a box with a magnafying glass in the front of the box and it projects a large image.
The downside of this thing is that you have to turn your tv up side down and when you do that the tv turns all green and other sh*t like that.
Does any one know if this works ?
If not do you know any tv brands that you are able to turn your tv upside down with out it turning green?
Please help thanks

Tyler,
Thanks, I had not had a chance to link to this site yet, very informative. Here's a useful item from the FAQ section:
quote:DO NOT turn over your TV if you suspect it might overheat or cause damage.

There was a thread about this web site a few months back discussing the inherent invalidity of it. I think it's a bunch of BS and is a scam like Pan & Scan. Muwahahahaha.

Well i tried a doing a little test to si if it would work a little and it did work pretty good.
I got the image to go about 45" to 50" with O.K picture but on the edge of the image it was pretty blury due to the Magnafying glasse's circular shape.

Tyler,
If it worked well at all most owners of RPTVs on this board would have one. This has been discussed ad nauseum in the past. If you do a search you'll find that it's simply a way to get money from unsuspecting people. BTW, turning your TV upside down will definitely damage the set and shorten its' life considerably. Good luck.
