I know we should be getting season box sets. But, has anyone have a better date than 2002? Are we looking at Q1 or Q2? I cannot wait to own this show in pristine dvd quality so I can get rid of my vhs tapes.

From what I've read, there will be a preview for the first TNG box set on Volume 40 of the Original Series DVD.

Thanks, Martin. Before you go, any comments on the "TNG preview on TOS Disc 40" comment?

Aren't Martin and Peter the best?
With just one word (March) Martin has made my day. Hopefully one day soon he will do it again with the word Keepcase.
THANKS Martin

Keepcase? Gosh, I hope not. Don't have anything against them, really, but they're all air and waste amazing amounts of space for multi-disc sets. I love the A&E Python discs, but you could fit the entire 14-disc set on seven dual-sided discs and put the whole works in one X-Files or Cosmos sized box. Saves many, many inches of shelf space.
That's one reason why I haven't collected ST:TOS. I just plain don't have room for 40 keepcases where three X-Files type boxes would do.
How about a nice efficient package, with a mail-in offer for keepcase inserts for those with lots of shelf to spare? It's a lot easier to DIY keepcases than foldouts.

As much as I'm perfectly happy with the X-files box style - I like the Stargate SG-1 box much better. To me it's perfectly fine to use 7 amaray cases worth of space as opposed to 3.5.

Well, the hint as to the cost came in the recent TNG-on-DVD survey pop-up window at http://www.startrek.com
