Another Subwoofer Hum Problem (1 Viewer)

I have a six year old Definitive Technology subwoofer that just started humming yesterday. No problems at all in the six years I owned it. It still hums after I unplugged the cable and continues to hum when I plugged it into a different AC outlet. Should I start shopping for a new sub?

It could be as simple as a loose wire. It would be worth having someone look at it if you have a friend that knows a bit about stuff. I dont know how much it would cast to have a 'professional' look at it.

I have the exact same problem with a Definitive sub. The thing just hums fairly loudly with nothing plugged into it. Connecting it via RCA cable to the receiver has no effect. Both the sub and receiver's power are coming from a Panamax power filter.
