Does anyone know when or if or why African Queen is going to be available on dvd? This is one of the best Bogart movies and it is truly one that needs to be released.

    if you're asking for a RC1 release: i don't know.

but there's a french 2 disk set available in good quality (english, french, german soundtrack) and 2 about 30min biographies of Hepburn and bogart. plus some more extras and a cool booklet in french (arggghhhh)

for about 20€ i really can recommend this dvd set from france.

The UK R2 of The African Queen has a Jack Cardiff commentary.

The Dutch R2 has the Cardiff commentary and is less than $10 US.

Wow, it is finally official! I googled the press release. It sounds like the accompanying documentary will be quite entertaining as well.
