Adding a Laserdisc player? (1 Viewer)

Saw a post in a Software thread that suggested buying a LD player if you can't wait for Star Wars on DVD. After a moment's reflection, I thought "Hey, that's a great idea!"
So, how might one go about picking up a quality LD player, and how much would you expect to pay? What's the going rate on Star Wars laserdiscs? The poster suggested Ebay--are there any other options to get the equipment?
Anything a LD novice should be aware of before making such a purchase?

The general opinion seems to be that Pioneer make the best players.
