Some of Williams' finest moments.Arguably Ava Gardner's finest performance, and I never could resist Grayson Hall. (I'm still waiting for a Blu-ray release of SATAN IN HIGH HEELS...). But all of the performances are excellent, and Huston does a terrific job creating a sense of location and a sense of community among these disparate characters. The advertising plays up the passions, but there are a lot of lovely and quiet moments in the film.
