Michael Ritchie's The Island was always an okay film, but never more.
Finally on Blu-ray via Scream Factory, the Universal production appears to be exactly what it is.
A Universal production.
Meaning that the Blu-ray is an okay version of an okay film. But never more.
Color seems to be fine, but the overall image appears nicely homogenized, and at times a touch smeary.
Which is precisely how most Universal masters of this era should look.
