I currently have an 802.11b wireless network in my house. I found a cordless phone I want to get but it is a 2.4 Ghz phone and I have heard that there can be a lot of interference between the two. Are there certain cordless phone features that would keep it from interfering with my wireless network?

I don't think there is one particular feature that interferes with a 802.11b network, it's the whole 2.4GHz "thing" since both run at that frequency. You may have to look into getting a 900MHz cordless phone. :frowning:

Jeff,

I also use 802.11b quite extensively. I've done some research on phones, and after talking with a bunch of other 802.11b users, we came to the conclusion that the Siemens 2.4ghz phones do NOT interfere with 802.11b networks. You can get the phones at Best Buy.

Thanks!

The phones I was actually looking at were the Siemens ones. That'll be great if those will actually work along-side the wireless network. Thanks.
