I am pretty sure that all the new Elites (X30's) are DVI compatible. I have been researching them extensively and know that they are DVI compatible but I am not sure about the HDCP.
Well I am getting close to putting the last piece (at least for a while) of my Home Theater together. I have really settled on two brands, either the Pioneer Elite or the Mitsubishi (i am not sure what their top line is anymore).
What I am hoping for is real in home experience (or close to...
Thanks, do you know if this is a problem through out the Onkyo line and is it happening allot. Also it sounds like you had the same problem, did the fix restore the receiver back to the original great sound? Thanks again.
Hey I've been away for a while (enjoying my home theater) but I'm back with a question. Has anyone else had a problem with Onkyo receivers and a ticking in the center channel? It just started about a week ago and now its really getting so bad you can't listen to anything in PL II. To make...
I am also currious if it can be used multi room / multi source. It says that it has a powered zone 2, but my question is can watch a dvd downstairs while someone elese listen to the radion or listen to a cd up stairs? or am I dreamin at this price range.
I'm considering purchasing an Onkyo 898, it has features I want and sounds great to me, but has anyone had a bad experience with this reciever or heard bad things about it. Also is the remote funtional. Thanks
Scott
I have slowly narrowed down my choice for recievers to the Onkyo txds898 or the Marantz sr8200 and I guess the Denon 3802 is still in the running too. Unfortunatly I don't have the ability to demo either of these products so your comments actually carry some weight. Pros and Cons for each are...
Beware, I recently considered purchasing from some of those Yahoo dealers and the 2 cheapest ones had shipping charges of 155.00, for the 4802. Suddenly that great deal dosen't look so great. Check them out, call if you have to and you will get a feel over the phone if they are above board. Good...
I definently want a quality reciever from a company that is reliable. I am looking at Onkyo, Denon, B&K along those lines. It seems everyone is going to seven channels, but I don't plan on using more than 5. Anyways my budget for this started at 1,200 but could grow to the 2k mark since this is...
I am looking to get a AV reciever but would like some advice on which one people are using these days, and who is giving the most bang for the buck. I would like something in the 110-150 wpc range. I am sure this should create some lively debate. Thanks I'll check back soon.
Scott
Thanks again Ron I may reconsider the order I upgrade and do the reciever first. Got any preferences for recievers. Thanks I will definently be talking to you more when I am ready to get my sub or subs.
Scott
Thanks, Ron that was what I was affraid of. I have considered your PC subs but I feel they might be undered powered for what I am used to. My family room is 23 x 19 with 7 foot ceilings. I like to listen to music and movies at reference levels (who dosen't) and am using my 20 year old Speaker...
Well I have finally decided to add a sub to my system. I have heard all the rave about the SVS Subs but don't know if I can hook them up to my current system. I have a Adcom 555 amp and pre amp with an audio control EQ. I intend to migrate to a full ht system over time but for now I am just...
