Mike:

Actually I was reporting Sam for being reported by himself to  himself.

Yes.  You're right, Parker.  That's just wrong.

I think we're going to need a full report on all this reporting to understand through reportage what exactly has been reported.

Just port.  Forget the re-port.

I wanted to make everyone aware that I have reported all of you to the department of redundancy department for all the doubly redundant reporting in all these reports.

Tony:

That is very redundant.

Now we are all going to be de-ported after the re-port of the the port.

Frak it. I don't give a shite any more. And how was your day?

Btw haven't seen Elizabeth in a while, does she know the forum is up? Is she trying to log in?

Yes, I see you have been experimenting and reporting and such.  Last I peeked in after the forum came back, not much was happening.  Or did I look?  Hmm. . . . . I've had this flu/cold thing for almost a week now and it totally ruined what was supposed to be a vacation week for me where I was going to GET THINGS DONE.  Oh, well, at least it wasn't a trip or anything.

Russ, glad you saw Side Effects!!  I don't know why more people haven't.   :P

I saw New World, a Korean gangster film right before I got sick.  Wow, it started off so intensely with a torture scene that I wasn't sure I could last the movie.  BUT -- wow, I loved it!  It may not be the most original premise, but it has great suspense/action sequences, characters to cheer and boo, great angst over divided loyalties, AND an elevator sequence you won't forget.

Watched a movie called Exam yesterday.  One of those "one room with a bunch of strangers" movies.  It was actually pretty interesting for what it was.

I have Louisville in my office pool bracket, and I'm rooting for them even more now.  In my decades of watching college basketball, I have never seen anything like Kevin Ware's injury.  I cannot believe he is already standing on crutches today.  Amazing.  And I root for Pitino and Jamie Dixon (Pittsburgh) as ex-University of Hawaii coach/assistant coach.  Even if Louisville wins it all, I cannot win the pot because I can't beat the 3 other people who picked Louisville.  New Mexico -- you let me down!!

Have not been on in a while.

I was in the hospital last week.

I did not know if i wanted to post this, i have it on my facebook, so Russ knows...

Found out i have colon cancer this week. It has also gone to my liver, and liver makes it an automatic stage 4 cancer.

Start chemo Monday. I am young and otherwise healthy. The doctor cannot cure me (at this time). But he says he can really do a lot for me.

So, those are the cards i have been dealt. Not sure how long i have, but then again, who does. Yea, i had to throw some Blade Runner in there.

I wanted to post this in this thread. After 10 years on this forum, some of you guys are like "real" friends. I feel good. My wife is in worse shape than me, right now. My post count could even go up! Gonna have some free time at the start of chemo.

Keep me in your thoughts and payers guys.

Wow Rick, very sorry to hear about your troubles.  I sincerely wish you well and hope you can beat this.  I don't know what else I can say but (really) best of luck and take care of yourself.

Rick.

I typed your name and then sat for five minutes because what do you say.

Just keep your strength up and keep fighting.

One always wants to believe they would keep their hopes high and be strong
but the truth for me is I don't know that I could do that.
I would need to rely greatly on those around me to keep me going.

Anyway, keep on keeping on.

I appreciate the kind words guys. Yea, Russ, i am blessed with my friends, co-workers, and family. Times like this i also think i am blessed to work in the medical field. Not because we get "the best", as we may not, but because i KNOW what is going on around me. This would be even more scary, if i didnt know what all the equipment, tools, and stuff they use are. I also have lots of friends who work in hospitals, so i am never alone, and my wife is a nurse!

I am told that i am very calm, i guess so...i also know these are the cards i have been handed, so i will play them...and not to lose!

Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers.

Rick:

I am glad you thought enough to come to the forum to let us know. I also find it wild that I have been away from the forum since I left only to come back with the move to the new platform and find that you are going to need all of your "droogs" in your corner.

We are all here now.
