Wasn't Fox's Film Noir series scheduled to have 24 titles? Not that they couldn't do more but it took so long to get the last three out that I doubt that they plan to go beyond the two dozen titles that they released.

That was my memory. Of course, if Fox decided to go further, I'd find it in my hard to forgive them...even embrace them.

Perhaps that makes me enabling? Posted Image

And FWIW Amazon is selling the most recent three titles for $7.49, should you prefer Amazon or not want all three.

Just noticed on Eddie Muller's site that he has recorded commentaries for Fox's 'Road House' and 'The Brasher Doubloon' (with Conrad Janis) and it lists them as coming soon or yet to be released.

Maybe we'll get these along with 'Boomerang' for the next wave? Anybody have any insight?

I think that has been up there for a while. Both titles have long been rumoured, but there's been no indication that I know of that Fox will release a next wave, or "Boomerang" ever.

ROAD HOUSE has to come out. It is such a great post-war film, and it is too brilliant to be locked in the vaults.

For anyone who, like me, missed out on BOOMERANG!, you can stream it free on Hulu. There are some commercials and I'm still hoping for a re-release, but at least now I can see it. Now, if I could only figure out why they won't sell it, but will let you download it legally and free...

I watched it on Hulu several weeks back. Pretty good movie. It's ironic, I have all of the Fox Noir series on DVD (except Boomerang, I was too slow in getting it while it was available), and there are several I still haven't watched. But I sat there in front of my computer and watched all of Boomerang (commercials and all). I guess I figured they may eventually remove it and I'd better watch now in case that happens.

It's what we in Australia call a stick. (sorry, I couldn't resist that one).

I was lucky to pick up a copy a while back. Terrific flick and I have watched it several times now.

Dana Andrews is such an underrated leading man of film noir.

I'm actually glad Boomerang keeps getting pushed back because I shelled out $40 for one of the ones that didn't get pulled. The longer it takes to release it the less unhappy I'll be about spending so much. Posted Image

I finally got a copy. So it was a bloomin' Boomerang after all!

There was a New Yorker cartoon which I love. The title is "Why Boomerangs come back" The pic is a guy tossing a boomerang and the boomerang (after its left his hands) thinks "I'm lonely..."

For anyone who never picked up Boomerang DVD Walmart.com has a closeout on it for $3.00 It is currently in stock. I'd appreciate it if you don't post it to any bargain sites as I want people who love the Fox Noir series to be able to get it. http://www.walmart.com/ip/4902058
