$19.99?

But, all the *good* Star Trek movies were $14.99. Why does the turd that is Nemesis (IMO definitely the worst next gen movie, and a contender for worst ST movie, period) merit a higher MSRP? No sale here, unless it's bargin bin stuff soon after release.

All the Star Trek movies have a msrp of $19.99 but sell for $13-$15 depending on what title you want. Nemisis should sell for $13.99-$14.99 on Oct 15th

Figured I would bump this up since it can cover all discussions Nemesis related to avoid multiple threads beyond what's already started.

Had a chance to speak with Spiner at a Convention, and said that although he was invited for a Nemesis Commentary, he wasn't able to make the recording so they did it without him..

Holy smokes, Scott! Even more deleted scenes on this new disc? That will be really something to check out! Now if they'd give the fans that extended cut we've been clamoring for, I'd be one happy camper! Keep us posted with what you find out! :)

Sounds like they'll just be in a different menu and not inserted into the film. That's disappointing but expected by Paramount.

What I'm not totally understanding right now is why the previously released deleted scenes aren't on this version as well. That means, technically, if I want to pick this up, I need to keep the original movie too. That makes no sense.

But it will be fun to hear Berman and Baird's comments on the film. That should be the funniest thing any of us hear this year.

Material only has to be submitted to the BBFC for classification if it is new or edited from previous material, so anything from the old Nemesis release could be included in the SCE.

In all fairness, Shatner wanted to completely re-edit ST-V, and re-do several of the effects shots for the S.E. Paramount refused, and put out the same old POS that is ST-V.

Hey, call me crazy, but I find ST V more enjoyable and re-watchable than Nemesis, or Generations for that matter.

I have found that "Generations" became more appealing as time went on. It still is FAR from perfect, (the uniforms being switched from TNG to DS9 style midway annoys the hell out of me and Data's emotion chip scenes were way too long and unfunny...) but there was some genuine emotion there, I felt. I really like the Picard fantasy scene in the nexxus, I felt that Shatner and Stewart worked well together which is interesting because their styles were so different and to me the biggest surprise was Shatner's death scene being so underplayed when Shatner has Always been accused of being so hammy and over the top...
But to be honest, I do have a soft spot for it because it's one of the last films my dad and I watched together before he passed away and I had grown up watching Captain Kirk with Pop. Now for me it has become a time-travel film... one of the films I deeply connect to events that have taken place in my life.

Captain Kirk has always been my favorite Star Trek character, so when I was younger I loved EVERYTHING William Shatner and defended Star Trek V to the hilt. However, now that I am older I find that to no longer be the case.

Kirk is still the best and I still love Shatner, but I can admit when something he does is not right, and Star Trek V aint right, IMO of course.

Sure, it has some great moments, but those are easily outweighed by the painful or downright stupid moments, and while I won't lay all the blame at Shatner's feet since there was a writer's strike at the time and the special effects budget was nil and so a cheap FX shop was used, it was still his show.

I can watch the movie and enjoy parts of it, but overall, it is sub-standard Trek, again IMO.

The worst part about V was, "Row, Row, Row your boat." And frankly, there was NOTHING in Nemesis that was as bad as that.
