My goal for 2017 was 40 4K UHD BD titles but I ended up at 69 4K UHD BD titles with another one being delivered around Jan 2-4 bringing me up to 70 4K UHD BD.

Purchased 7 titles today!

I now have all 8 HP films on 4K UHD BD!

My 4K blu-ray purchases will have to be must haves and will most likely be slightly limited in 2018 as I do my best to upgrade my Pioneer Elite SC-05 to something with 4K video switching and both Atmos and DTS-X decoding!

Ok so the last titles set to be released are the following on 4K UHD blu-ray:

The Dark Crystal March 6th
Blue Planet II
Straight Out Of Compton February 27th
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

Mmmmmm lets see so that covers up to 1 1/2 months away from right now. So in less than 2 months away what in the world will be coming out next? Do studios not know what is coming out in the next two months? Please tell me we are in for some good titles coming up and for 2018! It will be super bogus if we do not get at least one older catalog title for 2018! And by older catalog title I mean something older than 1970!

The only ones I am interested in out of the last releases is Blue Planet II and maybe Tomb Raider which is not a for sure thing.

Would love to have the following on 4K UHD blu-ray:

Heat
The Quick And The Dead
Open Range
Silverado
My Fair Lady
Patton
Alien
Braveheart
Lethal Weapon 1-4

Was just thinking after listening to Shakedown by Bob Seger that I wouldn't mind having Beverly Hills Cop on 4K UHD blu-ray!

Yes you are right that song is from Beverly Hills Cop 2 but it made me want the first movie on 4K blu-ray and actually also Beverly Hills Cop 2 as well. Beverly Hills Cop 3 is ok but that IMHO is the weakest one of the franchise.

Ok I was just on blu-ray.com and checked the 4K blu-ray release page and they posted Pitch Perfect 1-3 coming out on 4K blu-ray! I am not suggesting that this trilogy doesn't belong on 4K because I am not. I may not care for the films but that doesn't matter one bit because the studio feels they will do well otherwise they wouldn't bother releasing them! But there needs to be some really top notch titles to drive 4K blu-ray sales and I do not get why these 3 films got the nod from the studio. I just do not see these titles generating the sales studios are looking for!

I don't know. I'd bet the Pitch Perfect movies would outsell the original Planet of the Apes and most of the films listed above.

For the 40th anniversary of Grease Paramount will be releasing it on 4K blu-ray! No if we could starting seeing a few older movies make there way to 4K! I have not gotten around to buying Grease yet but as long as the transfer is good then I will be buying the 4K version!

Circled are titles on my want list moving forward and building my 4K blu-ray library! And 4K will be the last time I repurchase a movie and I am not sure I really want to go beyond 4K UHD!
