In the review it says:


"Much is made of the stereos, including vocals which slip off screen and into either side channel. It’s seamless when separating from the center. Surrounds fills in ambient orchestration."


Wasn't KMK in three channel (LF - C - RF) stereo sound with no surround?

Yes, the original 1953 mix was three track: L, C, R.


It's one of only two surviving stereo tracks from a 1953 3-D movie. The other is IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE.


There were originally 14 3-D features (at least) released with stereo tracks.
