I found this pic, but that grill looks like cloth.

See my correction above. Three models, including both 1000s and the ported 2000 have cloth grills. All others have metal grills.

EDIT: I have to correct myself again. The SB2000 Pro has a cloth grill as well. I have the prior SB2000 and it has a metal grill. I guess they "improved" it to have a cloth grill.

Ah ha! Did a search for grill, and found a description where it says it includes “an extra thick abs grill.” So not metal but it would be cat proof.

@Brian Dobbs I'm new to the forum here. Enjoyed reading your review and your relationship with your dad; glad someone resurrected it. I'm currently using an SVS 25-31Pci cylinder sub I purchased back in 2002 and love the thing. They made (make) some good stuff.
