i know this says it comes with the FM transmitter...but do i HAVE to hook it up that way, or can i directly connect it to my head unit with RCA'S?

If, in the future, you upgrade to a receiver with auxiliary inputs, a patch cable is supplied for direct connection (if your receiver already has aux inputs, you can purchase the SIRCK2 car kit, which does not include the FM transmitter).

Yes, It also has RCA connections. But in the case you do not want the extra feature they sell a cheaper ket that has RCA's out and no FM modulator. I don't know if that effects the size.

good point..dont want something bigger than it has to be.

BUT thats what comes free with the friends an dfamily plan, so thats what im gettin..

ALSO, are we gonna be getting a BOOMBOX for this thing like XM? is it in the works?

The Boombox should be coming out November. It's made by AudioVox, and the SRS is supposed to fit into it. With the Freinds and Family Plan, you should be able to choose which modulator it comes with. Ask them which ones are available.
