no Picture (1 Viewer)

i have my panasonic dvd connected to amp into hdmi 1.
from amp to a two way splitter and from splitter to In Focus projector
the projector displays the infocus words on the screen
when you put a dvd in all you get is sound and no picture
the Yamaha RX710 amp has been updated
have tried my lap top and all i get is sound as well and no picture
tried hooking laptop directly to projector and got nothing
this was connected up by a professional and it used to work

does this mean that my projector has died and it not talking to amp

can some one help

Unfortunately, it could be any number of things. You just need to do some basic troubleshooting.

The easiest place to start would be to move the cable over to HDMI 2 on the receiver, or another HDMI input.

If that doesn’t work, use an HDMI cable that you know is good and connect directly between the receiver and projector, bypassing existing cables.

If that doesn’t work, connect the receiver to a different display.

Next would be a connection between the projector and a working video source, such as a blu-ray or DVD player.
