After watch a couple of video on "how to change brake pad" on You tube. I have done 4 jobs with no problems. I even changed out new rotor too and it was still alot cheaper than a dealer. It is really a no brainer and you don't need mechanical experiance just a littl common sense. With the money I save over the jobs I went out and bought an air gun boy a pad job can be had in 20min.

great googus. Well, it isn't really that hard to do it. But many hesitate to do so.

I would suggest rather than get "generic" advice from here that one should go to a car-specific forum looking for advice on car maintenance. I have a Miata and a F-150, and I get all my advice from the Miata forum and the F-150 forum.

I just replaced the front pads on my F-150 at 65K miles, and it cost me $36. The F-150 forum helped me avoid the aftermarket pads known to squeal too much or that dust too much or that wear the rotors too much. No problem with my truck's ABS. I just suctioned out some fluid from the master cylinder and used some giant woodworking C clamps I had in my tool box to push the pistons back in.
