Was this spoken over the two title cards, or what? I saw it in theaters when new, but don't have any recollection whether it was there.

Yep, it was spoken over title cards that have colored lights around the border. Spoken by an America voice actor. I have a recorded copy from the 80s. That's the only one that has it.
