Many of my friends shoot cars, using different lighting techniques and such. From this, I have deduced that the Nikon D40 and D80 are some of the better ones for mixed lighting purposes. Best of luck.

Well, so far the D50 seems pretty good, but I think I may like the D80 better. Before deciding that, I will try to work on my photo skills and do some bracketing and post processing before deciding :)

The D50 will be great for learning a lot. Then keep it just a little longer and bypass the D80 and head for the D200.

I guess I need to learn a whole lot. I may bypass the D80 and go for whatever comes out to replace the D200.
