    Hi

I am trying to connect two HDMI cables (one from projector and other one from TV) into my bluray player. Should I use a splitter or switch? What is the brand name you recommend?

Or do I have to buy a DVD Player with two HDMI outputs?

    Thanks

Splitters usually don't work due to the DCMA protections built into the HDMI handshaking protocol; so use a switch. I've never needed one so I don't have brand recommendations.

The better option is to always route to your receiver first, and to get a receiver that has dual HDMI output. Obviously that costs more than a switch, but when you go to upgrade the next time it's something to look for.

If you want both displays to run at the same time, Monoprice has a matrix switch that takes care of the handshake.
