So are we to assume that all of the Disney Movie Club exclusive discs are going out of print when the club is no longer around to fulfill orders?

What do you think?

Hard to know. It's possible they'll just dump the remaining stock into the DisneyStore and sell them there until the stock depletes. My guess is those were run similar to WAC with small batches so overall inventory may not be that big anyway. This month through the end it appears all/most of the DVD and BD exclusives are on sale for $10 ea without requiring a full priced item.

Honestly I wouldn't expect another pressing of these once the current supply is gone.

These were all the true BD Exclusives as Disney Blu-Ray Exclusives. This strips out those items d/c and re-released later as an exclusive, those exclusives which are unique packaging (special slipcover, added DVD, etc). Most of these are still only worldwide BD releases of the film. The 2 exceptions are The Pacifier which had a Japan BD release and Flight of the Navigator which is on Disney in the US/CA.

Justdouble checked the site and I think all of these are now available on DMC for $10 including the TV set. There are 120 total items in the $10 Sale -- requires purchase of 2 to get this price, but no full priced item needed.

I was not as vested in the exclusives and only picked up a handful with sentimental value. My final purchase will likely be just the 4k mcu titles I've been meaning to pick up eventually.

Unless they decide to let Mill Creek re-press (as opposed to repress ) them as part of that deal that doesn't seem to have gone much of anywhere.

In addition to the titles @David Norman listed in #1,165, Disney released some 4K editions exclusively to the club last year.

I know of Strange World, Elemental, The Little Mermaid live-action and Haunted Mansion. Such as this:



Best Buy had the steelbook 4Ks; Walmart had a fancy 4K edition with a different slipcover and maybe a pin or something; and DMC had the "standard" 4K release exclusively. I know Best Buy's steelbooks are gone because they're out of physical media. I've never actually seen any of the Walmart editions in person. But my understanding is that they were limited pressings as well. Other stores only got the Blu-ray+DVD versions for sale.

So, while these titles might not be thought of as strictly DMC exclusives in the traditional yellow border sense, it might become difficult to obtain 4K versions of those movies once the club closes up shop.

Yes, those were some of the not quite exclusive exclusives.

There were other versions both here and international versions though seemingly less of each alternative over time. I can't find another Elemental 4K outside the US.

Wish narrow even further and even DMC didn't have an alternative to Walmart Steel and so far no international version have been announced.

Now that I'm down to the last few orders (if there will even be any more), I can see the almost-final tally.

I had 14 memberships over the last 6+ years. I got somewhere between 160-170 movies. The number is a bit cloudy because I included a few that I got from DMR/DMI (through points obtained from movies purchased at DMC), and I'm not consistent with counting some sequels.

For most of the run, I was averaging about $8 per item. But my average cost right now is just under $10 each. It went up a bit recently due to the higher priced Disney+ sets, the changes in enrollment terms, the inclusion of sales tax, and the fact that I started running out of enrollment options so I was doing more of the buy 1 get 60% off deals.

Interestingly enough, the combined total that I've spent at DMC is still less than what the mega 100th anniversary set would have cost me.

And in a shock -- the newly announced D+ Steelbooks (BD $39.95 or 4K $44.95) were added to Disney Movie Club this morning. Given these release 2 weeks prior to their last day to order I don't think anyone was expecting them to show up.

Even better -- eligible for the B1G60% deal so all 4 4K for a bit under $100.
