The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

I'm assuming that I'll be getting Captain Underpants to review, but Fox usually sends an e-mail alerting me of its imminent arrival, and I have received no such e-mail for it. We'll have to wait and see.

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike! And thanks for including the review links. Much appreciated!

Not like I'm complaining but what's the deal with Silicon Valley and Veep being a reasonable price? Has HBO turned a corner in terms of their pricing or are they just lowering the price because they don't sell great in the current market?

Anyway, I'll pick them up and maybe Orphan Black.

Thanks for the prices, Mike! :)

Thanks, Mike!

With next season being their last, I'm waiting for the inevitable VEEP complete series on BD set. High re-watch value for this show.

Kudos to TT for another great month of releases. Even when a particular title doesn't interest me I know it'll be a first rate release that will please fans of that film.

Just a reminder that there are two different 4K/UHD releases of E.T. One is the more expensive 35th anniversary limited edition with a MSRP of $49.98 and the other is $10.00 less on the MSRP. Somewhat confusing to say the least.

Thank you Crawdaddy!
I checked and I had selected the incorrect item during pre-ordering, so had to cancel and buy the right one. I really appreciate the heads up!

Tobor the Great: one of those 1950s films where all the guys wear hats.

Dennis Schwartz commenting on Krakatoa, East of Java: "The title was changed to Volcano after many filmgoers with a sense of geography pointed out that Krakatoa is west of Java. "

I may finally add Logan to the collection. That's a reasonable price at Target. Otherwise, I see nothing else catching me eye.

Thanks Mike!

The Walmart 4K edition of The Mummy has some kind of virtual reality viewer with "30 minutes of exclusive content". Not sure what that's all about. My store also had a big cardboard display for the film. Haven't seen that for a video release in quite a while.

I've never figured out why Walmart sells 4K discs, but seemingly does not sell a 4K player in stores. They have a player that will do "4K upscaling," but I've yet to see an actual 4K player. Are the player prices still high enough they assume no Walmart shoppers would buy them?
